Where to Stay ?
Bayeux is probably the best location to stay if you come to visit D Day Beaches and it will be a good starting point for visiting Mont St Michel, Caen, Pays d'Auge.
Spared by World War II destructions, Bayeux is a picturesque small city with a big and nice cathedral in the middle. After your tours, you will be able to explore the weaving streets with medieval or Renaissance houses.
There are lots of nice hotels, restaurants and shops (closing at 7.00 PM, closed on Sundays, many are closed on Mondays as well, at least morning).
If you prefer staying on the coastline, and especially if you are interested in British and Canadian D Day Beaches, there are quite a few lovely places where you can stay.
